It is a very difficult task to select top 10 books out of all. This year has gone awesome (Especially for the Book-worms like us). We got to read many fantastic books. So, for the task of selecting “Top 10 Reads of The Year” we did surveys as per our reach. We asked our email list subscribers about it, we questioned our social media followers. Plus, we added our thoughts to it. And then, came up with this final, fantastic book’s list. So, we will start from 10 to 1. And here we go!
10). S.O.A.R- Soar is the one of the best book i have read recently. A book with perfect title (it couldn't have been better) and plot. Abir has the great ability to narrate a story. The book teaches one how to live life in a better manner even after the author has clearly mentioned that he has no intention of teaching so.
9). Colourful Notions- This book is primarily focused in the minds of the current young generation, as I love traveling; I was thrilled to travel along with these three characters to the beautiful destinations. Overall, this book seems like the answer to a lot of questions youngsters these days are plagued with.
8). Promise Me a Million Times- is spellbound debut attempt by Keshav Aneel. It is a good novel which has satisfyingly portrayed difficult phases of life. Being his first novel, Keshav has done a tremendous job. I must say, it's a great work by the author. I am actually looking forward to his upcoming works.
7). It’s all in the planets- Preety Shenoy takes you to an interesting ride of a love story; the most unique piece I have come across in last few years. This novel talks about romance, friendship. The elements of humor, sadness can be noticed altogether. Overall it is it’s really a good book to hang out with.
6). Like a Love Song- The concept of Like a Love Song is strong. The book is more than a romantic novel, it's about the struggle and confusion of girls. It showcases the parochial society also. Nikita Singh manages to keep you engaged in the story that is natural and something you can easily relate to.
5). Love by The Way- Love is like the truth everyone has their own version, the heart has its own justifications for love especially the one the world denies. This book showcases that no matter what kind of past we have, love really rules over all. Moreover, it shatters the norm that love can only exist between a man and a woman. It was a true page turner.
4). Black Suits You- After the Stranger Trilogy, once again Novoneel has kept the stranger factor alive. The story is so gripping that you want to finish it in one go. The character of the male protagonist, Kiyan Roy was so perfectly sketched. Like each one of us he has his positive sides and his way too darker or maybe we can say black side.
3). Our Impossible Love- Our Impossible love is one of the most beautiful work by Durjoy. It’s that kind of a story which you really do not want to miss out on. You’ll cry and smile and live along with characters and let them seep into your skin. The book is a must buy if you're looking for a fictional romance.
2). Everyone has a Story- Masterful writing, Its very refreshing story. One can easily attach them self with story. I love the way Savi has drafted this book. It's a beautiful story with a great content. It drove me through my dream! I could hardly keep the book down after reading it; I am totally convinced with the title itself Everyone has a story.
1). One Indian Girl- Chetan bhagat has got the nerves of his readers ,every time he writes it makes us read even more. Great step by the author, given the fact he is so popular among the readers who need eye openers like these the most. I hope more such steps are taken to educate us beyond just words like Women Empowerment and Feminism.
